Here in the Isle of Harris, we don’t believe in Black Fridays or big discount deals.
So, tonight we’re delighted to bring you a GOLDEN FRIDAY instead, a celebration of gift-giving and connection as the preparations for the festive season get underway.
In the generous spirit of Willy “Uilleam” Wonka, we’ve created a very special Christmas Golden Ticket which has been hidden inside a randomly selected Isle of Harris Gin gift set box.
This beautiful shining ticket will entitle the lucky finder to a wonderful prize…
Whoever finds the golden ticket will win a trip for two to the Isle of Harris, making the journey to join us here at the distillery to create a very special bottle of Isle of Harris Gin.
We’ll fly them from one of Loganair’s airport hubs to the island town of Stornoway where a hire car will be waiting for them to drive south to Harris to meet us.
A two-night stay in our distillery’s private apartment will be laid on, with its viewing window into the heart of the Spirit Hall where all our gin and whisky is made.
We’ll provide supplies of fresh, local fare and, of course, a bottle of Isle of Harris Gin to make the stay even more comfortable, with an invite to join us for lunch each day in the distillery Canteen.
The winners will enjoy a full tour of the distillery with one of our guides, sampling spirits along the way as we take them behind the scenes to learn our story.
We’ll also make them ‘Distillers For A Day’ as they learn how to make Isle of Harris Gin, from botanicals through to bottling their handiwork to take home as a special reminder of the trip.
Winners will also have time to explore the best of the Isle of Harris, from beautiful beaches to Harris Tweed, and we’ll be happy to help them with plenty of pointers on what to see and do.
The Christmas Golden Ticket competition will run for one week, from 5pm on Friday the 29th November until midnight on Friday, December the 6th.
