It’s that time of year again, and with just over two weeks to go until the 25th, our unique place in the world means we’re bringing some festive spirit to you a little earlier than most.
Our Isle of Harris Gin is only ever from the heart of the Outer Hebrides, meaning that every drop is distilled, bottled, sealed and shipped to customers directly from our distillery in the remote village of Tarbert.
So, when we send our gin out into the world, a rather momentous journey gets underway to reach you and your loved ones far from our shores…
These beautiful bottles first travel north through the high hills of Harris, in the shadow of the Clisham mountain, where ice and snow can impede its progress.
Then it’s onwards to the harbour town of Stornoway for an often wild crossing of The Minch's temperamental seas before speeding on south through the Scottish Highlands to the city of Inverness.
And even then the journey is only just beginning, with many more miles to go until we reach populous places like Glasgow, Edinburgh and London.
So, while we always aim to deliver in 3-5 working days, winter weather may throw obstacles in our way, which is why we’re encouraging everyone to order early if they can.
The last order date for guaranteed Christmas delivery is midnight on Sunday the 15th of December. We’ll continue to process orders up until the 23rd for any New Year needs but best not to delay to avoid disappointment!
As well as our iconic bottles of Isle of Harris Gin to give, we also have a stunning range of handblown glassware and bespoke gift set boxes to present the perfect pour.
All these come with tasting notes and serving suggestions and you can even include a gift message with each one, individually handwritten by one of our elves here in Harris.
