Our award-winning island gin is only ever from the Isle of Harris. Every drop is distilled here and each beautiful bottle is filled, labelled and sealed by hand on-site in our remote village of Tarbert.
Likewise, Isle of Harris Gin is only available directly from the distillery, shipped from our shores to your door on a long and special journey across land and sea.
So, our online shopping experience must be the best it can be as we continue to stay up-to-date with fast-moving developments in the digital world from here in our Outer Hebridean home.
Earlier this year, we set out to find Scotland’s smartest group of e-commerce experts to help us stay better connected to our customers and after a long search we’re pleased to say we succeeded.
The Dog Digital agency based in the heart of creative Glasgow joined us just after the summer to bring our new website into being and build an online shop from the ground up.
With more than 80 staff working across offices in Glasgow, London and Singapore, they’ve been tasked with helping us continue to improve, evolve and grow our online presence.
Kirsty Burns our account director tells us…
“The first stages of the project brought all of our expertise together to design a beautiful site that encapsulates the essence of belonging to Harris. We aimed to reflect the values and beliefs of the distillery and to bring the island to those who have yet to visit. We also strived to make it even easier for customers to buy bottles of Isle of Harris Gin!”
They proudly live by a core ethos of ‘The individual is brilliant, the pack is formidable’ and true to their word they brought together some of the finest in their individual fields to form a core project team.
After spending some time with us in Harris, we quickly introduced them to our own ‘enemies of average’ ethos and were soon challenging each other not to accept anything less than an exceptional piece of work.
“We thoroughly loved working collaboratively with the Isle of Harris and loves the challenges posed. We’re a solutions-focused team and welcomed them as part of the project. The design and articulation of the brand were of utmost importance to the whole delivery.”
The results of their work can now be seen in action and those shopping with us can enjoy an array of new features including one-touch payment systems, postcode searches, interactive stockist map, autofill and delivery tracking among others.
And do how the Dog Digital team feel about the spirit of their new clients?
“We love it! The brand ambassadors kindly spent some time with all of our team here at Dog in Glasgow and we got to sample plenty Isle of Harris Gin while we learned more about the story. Needless to say, the night resulted in you gaining 70 new brand ambassadors from all the Dogs who attended!”
Managing Director of Dog Digital Gerry McCusker concludes...
“We were already big fans of the Isle of Harris Distillery and of Isle of Harris Gin so we’re absolutely delighted to be working as your new digital partner. We are looking forward to exciting times ahead as the relationship grows.”
Our thanks to the superb team of specialists for all their hard work and efforts as they brought their skills to bear in delivering the new site, at every stage of the journey they’ve been true leaders of the pack…
