New York, New York!

Iona and Eilidh doing their bit for gin and global harmony...

Our award-winning Isle of Harris Gin recently embarked on another exciting journey across the United States to connect with our customers, distributors, and supporters.

Once again, it was Iona Cairns who was on ambassadorial duty as she spent two days in Phoenix, working with Misa Arizona, our brilliant partners on the far side of the Atlantic.

Together they visited some of the city's top bars and restaurants, as well as some of the wonderful stores who have been supporting the gin since its arrival on American shores.

After a successful visit, Iona headed to New York to join our friend Coinneach Macleod, aka The Hebridean Baker, at his book signing in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

It was quite a cèilidh, and the whole evening was filled with island stories, Gaelic songs, and plenty of Isle of Harris Gin samples to enjoy.

Then it was the turn of another of our island team to join in the fun as Eilidh arrived in New York just in time to kickstart the exciting NYC Tartan Week celebrations.

As the 25th Anniversary of New York Tartan Week approached, we were proud to sponsor and support several events throughout the week, including the Scottish Business Network Cocktail Reception, the American Scottish Foundation Supper Club, and the New York Caledonian Club Ceilidh.

Iona and Eilidh joined the gathering at the Alumni On A Global Stage drinks reception where Chef Gary Maclean used Isle of Harris Gin to create a delicious seafood canapé that was enjoyed by all.

We would like to thank all the societies and organisers of these great Scottish celebrations for inviting us to take part and share our island spirit and story.

Iona would also like to extend her appreciation to Fever-Tree USA for partnering with us and providing their wonderful tonic to make Harris G&Ts at the events they attended.

Lastly, special thanks go out to our good friends at WeeBox who allowed us to join in the incredible closing parade on Saturday, which was a truly fantastic way to end a whirlwind week.

Iona was elated with their experience at NYTW and tells us…

"New York Tartan Week was an unforgettable experience. Congratulations to all involved in making it such a success. We were very proud to be there representing the distillery and sharing Isle of Harris Gin at all the events we supported."

She continues…

"The highlight of our week was having the opportunity to meet so many lovely people and hear about inspiring Scottish businesses in the USA, as well as catching up with familiar faces and good friends of the distillery too. We can't wait for next year!"

Now that they're back on Scottish soil, they'll have time to draw breath and recover from their adventure, until next time!
